Eventuri Carbon Fibre Intake BMW M3 E9X S65

The Eventuri Carbon Intake for the BMW E9X M3 is the result of extensive research and optimisation, improving what is possibly one of the best designed stock intake systems around. Rather than replacing the excellent factory airbox, Eventuri identified restrictions in the inlet tube and air feed system and re-engineered both, allowing the S65 V8 to breathe with greater efficiency.

The one-piece carbon intake tube has no internal interfaces, unlike the stock tube's two concertina sections, keeping airflow laminar from the filter to the manifold. Its geometry transitions gradually from a circular filter opening to an oval manifold exit — a far more efficient change of shape than the stock tube's rectangular-to-oval design. A compressible neoprene band seals the tube to the airbox while still allowing it to move with the engine, avoiding the flexible couplers that would reintroduce turbulence.

The carbon scoop sits on top of the stock lower duct, eliminating the ridge that restricts airflow into the airbox — testing showed an increase in air entry speed of almost 50%, with data logged intake temperatures reduced by 2 degrees on the road. A stainless steel debris guard on the filter deflects debris and water with no impact on performance. Back-to-back dyno testing showed gains throughout the rev range, not just at the peak, for sharper throttle response and a car that pulls more eagerly to the redline.
