The Eventuri Carbon Intake for the B58 is another example of Eventuri's "Complete System" principle - the perfect balance between unrestricted airflow through the open filter housing and low intake air temperatures through cold air saturation from the scoop and shield combination.

At its core is the patented carbon fibre Venturi housing, providing an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbo. Not just another cone filter with a heat shield, the design invokes the Venturi effect and maintains laminar flow conditions to reduce drag on the turbo. The carbon scoop sits directly behind the front grill to capture as much air as possible, channelling it through a continuous curve to the duct opening.

With the intake located directly next to the exhaust manifold, particular attention was paid to heat shielding. The double layer main shield has a silver finish on the exhaust side to reflect radiant heat and black on the intake side to absorb it, with the air gap between the two layers acting as an insulator against conductive heat. Back-to-back dyno testing on a standard M240i showed power and torque increased through a large portion of the rev range, translating to sharper part and full throttle response with the car pulling more eagerly to the redline.
