The prepreg carbon lid uses the same mounting points as the stock lid, and the system is 100% prepreg carbon fibre with no fibreglass for a smooth internal surface.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eThe biggest restriction in the stock system is the turbo inlets, which are small and have two flexible sections — the one immediately ahead of the turbo creating turbulence as the engine moves under acceleration. Eventuri removed the first flexible section and increased the internal volume, with the new inlets up to 43% larger in cross-sectional area than stock. A novel dimpled inner surface reduces frictional losses between the flow and the wall boundary, allowing air to move through at higher flow rates with reduced pressure loss — letting the turbos spool quicker and work with a lower wastegate duty cycle.
