The Challenge

Renault gave the Clio RS a 2.0L 16V engine producing 200 horsepower — a true hot hatch monster. But while the engine was built for excitement, the factory gear shifter and cables felt like a mistake.

The OEM control cables were designed for casual, everyday drivers — light, soft, and far from race-ready. Surprisingly, Renault fitted the same weak shifter mechanism found in their smaller, low-powered models. The result? A disappointing shifting experience that fell short of what this car deserves.
